What I dont understand is why the U.S has become such pushovers. The United States was suppose to be the country that came into existence to civilize the world and bring it under one government. So much for the superpower.
The U.S has the largest, best equiped and best trained military in the world. The current war on terrorism started by terrorists trying to get recognition by the big boys. Well they got the recognition they wanted, we gave them exactly what they wanted. The most powerful nation on earth cowered in the corner like a wet dog while the terrorists stomped on our flag. We should have acted like americans. We should have answered their call for attention with a swing of our fist straight into the heart of their home country. When a snotty brat pushes the biggest boy in the sandbox, the giant doesnt linger off the school campus defeated. The giant doesnt just push the smaller kid back giving the kid another chance later to strike the giant again. No, the giant damages the smaller snotty kid to the point where he can't fight back, ever. These are the actions that would have been taken by a true, proud country.

The world could use more dialogue about its differences — a little understanding goes a long way. There are many online forums where people with different perspectives yell at each other and hurl abuse. There aren't so many where completely different points of view are expressed rationally and constructively. That's why The World Forum was created.
